360 Product Line | Packaging

As we were in the process of designing our new, more capable Revolve line, the idea of wrapping it in the same old packaging style would have been absurd. While we felt that our current packaging was a step above the competition, it was still very standard in terms of construction and materials. Ultimately, I never felt that it really matched up with any of our five brand pillars:
Modern, Creative, Precise, Authentic, Unexpected.
Creative Direction: Cameron Bigler
Concepts: Cameron Bigler
Final Direction: Lorenzo Calleja
Renders: Cameron Bigler
The current packaging line, while graphically a step above the competition, lacked the consistency and creativity we strived for in every other area of our brand.
Initial concepts explored the idea of extensive use of paper pulp. I loved the freedom it offered to create unique forms that were eycatching and environmentally sound.
Ultimately concerns around costing and the ability to withstand the month long journey over seas required us to explore other options
Fortunately we found Lorenzo Calleja of Denzo Designs who brought a great deal of package engineering knowledge to our team and helped us to find a solution that met all our goals.
For anyone who has ever purchased a surge protector, the unboxing experience can be described as forgettable at best. We wanted ours to be a delightfully unexpected and premium experience.
This unique new direction not only brought consistency to our line-up, through the use of high quality recyclable materials and crisp solid construction, it also elevated the packaging to more effectively convey the premium nature of the products within.
